Def, king seats are great to sit on but awful looking. Cb750 may earn a place in my garage as my new work hack next year. At least if I can't find a nice ring a ding or something else that grabs my fancy.

I feel yer pain, I have had a bug for an old cb as well, I started ou ton a 77 cb750, but have also been jonesing for an old 900 supersport ducati. Guess I should put my TL back together first LOL

I myself have wondered if I could buy and fix up an old CB, KZ, or XS for less than my Buell payment...
But those thoughts are fleeting.
What I'd end up with is a torn apart, no-running project in my garage or whatever storage space I end up with when I move. :rolleyes:

Problem for me is I already have one of those with my TLS, was going to powdercoat it and reapint it along with some other things. Well I took it apart and that was about it :(

Wasn't too crazy about many of the 80's bikes once a lot of them went to the squarish tanks, fairings, bodywork etc.

Tommy my Dad has an 82 Honda CB 900 Custom. Needs a little work but is in overall good condition.

those are pretty cool. not sure about that tractor trailer tranny though. seen a few this way for a grand or less

Hey now, here is my old girl and she is an 82. Bought her new off the show room floor in 83.

Still got her and she looks just like the pics below. My plans now are to convert her to a SuperF, which is basically swapping the forks for CBR600F3 forks and triple tree with the stock triple tree pin welded into the CBR triple trees. Then install a set of CBR600F3 wheels so i can run sport radial tires 120/160 setup with CBR calipers. Bike will retain the stock look with headlight, but have better forks and wheel size with radials instead of bias-ply tires today

Yeah, Gas, you have seen what happens to my project bikes. They end up sitting on your lift for 3.5 weeks in pieces. Or they end up leaning against the outside of the garage for 2 months before some lost cause comes to buy them.
