MotoGP round 5 Catalunya 06/05/11 *SPOILERS*

Well, last race sure did shake things up, didn't it???

Here's my review on this race...
--PEDROSA WILL NOT RACE!!! CLICK HERE FOR STORY WHY
--Simoncelli knows he did wrong and even says so CLICK HERE FOR STORY
--Stoner looks unbeatable, and if he dosen't crash, may be on the podium every single race this year
--Rossi whooped Lorenzos ass last race and got his first podium of the year
--Lorenzo, on the other hand, missed the podium for the first time this year
--Dovizioso is riding well, and is giving Rossi fits...It will be fun to those two battle
--Spies - haven't seen him in a while, is he still racing in GP? (I expect a lot of heat for writing that :D)

Your thoughts?

Paris Hilton will be in attendance

Rider 06-02-2011 12:56 PM

1) Stoner - I hate the little prick but he can't be beat right now
2) Lorenzo
3) Rossi

smileyman 06-02-2011 03:02 PM

Once again Rider beat me to the post. Stoner, if he can get into his own little world has the bike, the team, and the speed. Jorge is struggling but this is a race he always shines at. And Rossi will have the rest snowed. I do expect that Spies and Dovisioso will be the battle to watch this week as both are trying to step up after disappointing starts.

One of her European brands is sponsoring a 125 if I am not mistaken or maybe it was a Moto 2 ride...Any ways it brings exposure...Not sure what kind but.

Let her...

Her bike won last race, and she's doing wonders to promote the sport...So I say, thanks to her :rockwoot:

That track reminds me of a giant uterus.

Yeh I know the bike is pink white and blue, but it runs old old std kits instead of oil, and its exhaust is an airborne herpes infection.

KSGregman 06-03-2011 10:08 AM

Colin Edwards stacked it HUGE with 10 minutes to go in FP2....broke his collarbone.

What a shit time to get hurt. That dude never wins but you have to hand it to him, he's consistent cannon fodder for the grid....never misses a race. I don't think he's missed a race since 2003.

The MotoGP grid is down to 15 riders as of now....with 3...maybe 4 riders (the 2 repsol hondas, Lorenzo...and Rossi as a wildcard) that have a realistic chance to win..the rest are just there to fill out the grid.

It's embarrassing for the "premier" class to be so badly outshone by Moto2 and WSB in terms of competitive grids and true spectacle of racing.

Spies a mere .003 off Lorenzo. I hope he can stay up there.

anthonyk 06-03-2011 10:24 AM

Ouch. Really bad time to get hurt, with something like 6 races in the next 8 weeks.

Maybe Speed can give him some commentator time while he recovers. I'd actually watch that coverage, just to hear what Colin says.

Such a pitiful and boring display of RACING that even Nick and Gavin were making fun of it...the stadium PA was playing "I will survive" and Gav said...that was probably a tip of the hat to the crowd for surviving such a boring race. :lmao:

Dave 06-06-2011 07:50 AM

That French kid in 125 got robbed.

ontwo 06-06-2011 09:29 AM

Another snooze fest in GP. Two nasty crashes in Moto2 and some good racing

smileyman 06-06-2011 11:46 AM

One of the finest displays of high speed lapping ever. On th elimits and out of shape every lap. Shame no one could catch anyone else...

101lifts2 06-06-2011 03:46 PM

Wow the Moto2 crash was narly...

MotoGP is pretty snooze....lucky I record it and can fast forward.

What happened this weekend? I only watched the GP race, did race direction step in on one of the others?

Kid in 125 made a last corner dive to win the race and ran the former leader wide and into the grass. Other team bitched and rd slapped the winner with a twenty second penalty for illegal passing. Makes for bad precedent

anthonyk 06-08-2011 02:02 PM

That move at the end of the 125 race looked pretty intentional. Looked to me like they both came out of that last corner on-track and well-sorted. Zarco moved over just enough to edge Terol off the track.

Can't find any good free video of it anymore...
