So Kerry claims he got these black eyes playing hockey.......that someone hit him with his stick...

I could see one black eye, but two? I call bs

I say plastic surgery...

I could see one eye, not two. He is old, old ppl bruise easy.

A shot to the nose can easily bruise both eyes.

Dave 01-24-2012 02:57 PM

Supposedly his nose is broken too

Porkchop 01-24-2012 05:05 PM

Bullshit. I play hockey 3/4 of the year and have never seen that before. A stick won't leave that kind of bruise anyway, it will cut more often than bruise.

I also can't see someone of his age playing in a league that allows half-shields or no shields. I also dont see someone of his fame wanting to mess up his face by not wearing a full cage. :bs:

Ok, so my first thought is that his wife told him twice

She wouldn't hit him. She'd just cut off his allowance. That would hurt more.

A cross-check to the nose could do it.

It's certainly possible based on the text... the picture however puts it into question... If you get whacked in the bridge of the nose and get black eyes, they aren't on the sides of your face, but rather right underneath your eyes...

Papa_Complex 01-25-2012 05:38 PM

The blood goes somewhere and I've seen people with broken noses, who had a similar set of raccoon eyes.

I was chatting with my District Manager on the phone today. He has played hockey most of his life too. He said he has seen it before, but he said the same thing you said, the blood goes underneath your eyes, not to the outside. Who knows....

Apparently she got $400K for that and the cop kept his job.

I caught a jet ski with my face when I was a kid... broke my nose, just down from my brow... that's how I know.
