This is the easy part to remember.

Pic must be bike related.
You must have rights to the pic (ie not something off one of the gap photogs)
Must be taken in the month prior to the contest (ie feb POTM must be from Jan 09)

TommyHotWheel 01-07-2009 09:06 PM

Thanks!

By all that's holy, I gotta win with this pic. The lighting is nice, the detail is clear, and the theme is sweet and the bike is HAWT!!!

Primus inter pares - first among equals.

Not sure this qualifies as it is a composite but as I stood in my unploughed driveway this morning I'ld try and photochop this together as "Warmer Days Remembered"

You're bitter b/c you dont have an entry this month.

Sixxxxer 01-12-2009 03:19 PM

It just got posted...And I could easily go out and take a picture to enter.

I honestly dont like the composotion of the picture...the Fade of the Bikes looks offset compared to the backdrop...and the sttempt to blend in the grass in the original pisture to make it look like snow is well, Weak.

I have an opinion on it thats all...i dont HATE It, I just dont like it all that much.

but then I guess... why post? :idk:

yeah the potoshop job could have been cleaner... but not many here are great with photoshop... and it's better than I could have done...

also I think the blend was good in the grass... you'd have to see the original to say it wasn't right... as to me it looks as the part your talking about is just in trampled snow.

Sixxxxer 01-12-2009 03:27 PM

Its the internet, why do we post anything??

Because we can.

Jesus sorry I said anything

marko138 01-12-2009 03:27 PM

This isn't a professional photography contest. Period. It's a contest on which picture evokes the most reaction and emotion from the voters. And this picture does that. The snow picture currently on the front page does that. Are either of them the greatest picture of all time? Of course not....but they get a reaction.

Sixxxxer 01-12-2009 03:28 PM

Aye Aye Captain

Trip 01-12-2009 03:51 PM

It's popularity, it's a general population vote, not a room full of artistic judges. Take your pics based on that.

Taken today for a Facebook photo contest... it was a Christmas present from my Mother sitting on top of my Mini Cooper in the garage.

Genital warts are a real problem for some people, not just a joke to throw around..:leaving:

Here's me at JGP Jan 3rd. Had to drive 12 hours each way to get there for only a day of riding. But it was worth it.

Yeah, I saw that. I haven't examined the fairing yet since it's still in the 30s here and I just got this picture Wednesday.
