ok, I want names and I want them NOW!

Who was the asshole who thought it'd be cute to design a motor where the cylinder head must come OFF the engine to install said engine into a bike? who the fuck did it? I want the balls, and head of the engineer who did it on a silver platter RIGHT NOW!

Sorry i didnt really think about how everything went together after the first time, but its been pretty funny watching folks try and do things the "easy" way.

BobTheBiker 01-23-2009 10:40 PM

seriously, I hate having to pull the head, both cams, REset everything in the bike, THEN turn it over by hand to ensure its correct. I fucking hate that. its the gayest thing ever in the history of gay things.

Should have bought a Harley.

marko138 01-26-2009 09:44 AM

Shitty.

HRCNICK11 01-27-2009 09:36 PM

Are you sure that does not sound correct?

Racerboy 01-27-2009 09:38 PM

What bike is this on??

BobTheBiker 01-27-2009 09:48 PM

my 86 ZX10. its a WEIRD frame design honestly. I cant see why a stressed member motor design wasnt used instead.

HRCNICK11 01-29-2009 08:07 PM

Dude we need photos!

BobTheBiker 01-29-2009 08:29 PM

engine is in the frame right now, but I'll take pictures of why it wont come out without extreme manipulation(that I WILL NOT do) so yeah, umm. evidently the oiling system and cooling system were also afterthoughts of this engine.

The 80s were times of plenty they could get away with crazy bad ideas now every thing has to be just right or they will tell you all about it in the magizine test. Plus now the labor cost is so high it has to be monkey with a wrench easy so robots can do it with out mistake.

BobTheBiker 01-29-2009 11:49 PM

you're not kiddin. Things have DRAMATICALLY improved on the newer bikes in terms of ease of service and quality/reliability. dependability of a newer bike is just INSANE really.

marko138 01-30-2009 07:57 AM

A couple swings of a nice hammer might fix this.

BobTheBiker 01-30-2009 09:38 AM

Yup, exactly like that one, except mine is all black with little red stripes.
