HID kits
 

Hey weren't there a few people who were looking for light kits for their bikes? Anyway,these guys use slim ballasts and out-board igniters. Plus their kits are like $89 shipped.

There's a few who have them and I haven't heard of any problems. I personally haven't had any.

2 come in the kit and there realativly easy to install?

Just one bulb and ballast comes in the kit for motorcycles and they are very easy to install. If you can get your headlight assembly off you bike,it works the best. You install it and then it just plugs in to the original headlight plug. I was thinking of going up to 10,000 from 6000 because I want my light to be more "blue" now.

I've been thinking about HID's...I'm just not sure yet.

I have 2 10000's...they're pretty friggin' bright. :lol:

Yea 6000K is enough to give you a sunburn!!! I just like the look of the bluer lights I guess...

i like the idea. i just hate the thought of adding extra weight (any weight) plus hiding the boxes is a pain in the balls

Are you really fast enough that a pound is going to make a difference???

nope, but that pound still doesnt sit well with me

if you were fast enough to worry about that pound, you could quite possibly be fast enough to "outrun" your stock headlite, therefore justifying that extra pound......think about it.....:dthumb:

I just installed a set in my car. Besides wiring up a relay to be "safe". Installation was a breeze. The ballasts are tiny, the light output is incredible. I can actually see at night now. My car has a tinted windshield, it used to be a little hard to see at night.

Not fused at all the way they come?

I have a 6000K kit as my high beam and a 3500K super yellow kit as my low beam. I have been running them for about three years without issue.

Most kits have a bladed relay that you plug into the bulb socket in the stock harness.

I hate those HID's blinding me. I would never dream of doing that to someone else.

nope, nothing at all. I put fuses and the relay in myself.

I had a set from Harbor Freight with no problems. HID's are worth less if your lens dont project them correctly. Yea they'll be brighter but nothing like looking at a road with non-lighted lines all over the place.

If you want light output then stick with 4300k - 6000k. Of course each companies light output is different.

I got a kit for 120 about a year ago. Came with 2 10,000K bulbs. Only downside is that My bike uses the same bulbs for high and low beams, so I just set them both to high, but adjusted them to where they aren't too high.
