Mine is only 412 miles in one day.:idk:

Nothing compared to some of you on here.

rogue 04-15-2009 09:13 PM

About 525 miles..... :panic:

skiergirl 04-15-2009 09:19 PM

508 hill country miles and my butt hurt - 12 hours over the course of the day stopping to chat, gas up and eat only...8am - 8pm.....was fun though :)

G-Rex 04-15-2009 09:31 PM

Iron Butt pace - 1060 miles from Suches, Georgia to Oklahoma City. 22 hours on the road.

Non Iron Butt pace - 800 miles from Chicago, Illinois to Oklahoma City. 15 hours on the road.

I'm taking the Busa down to Austin this weekend, and that'll be a little over 400 miles after I leave the office at 5pm.

I can do 400 miles in my sleep almost. It alllll comes with miles. You can build yourself up over time.

OneSickPsycho 04-15-2009 09:34 PM

6 or 700 or something... I don't remember.

Amber Lamps 04-15-2009 09:40 PM

I rode from Detroit to Chicago one time on a bet when I had my 'Busa... It actually didn't take all that long... Other than that, I've put in some 3-400 milers on occasion. Back in the mid-90s I rode with a buddy from El Paso, Tx to LA and we also rode from El Paso to LV but that's about it.

Mrs. Colleen 04-15-2009 09:49 PM

180...my favorite place to ride is pretty close to my house. :)

Ninjakel 04-15-2009 09:58 PM

something like 600 miles.

DLIT 04-15-2009 10:02 PM

678. Out to Cali to hit the canyons and back to Vegas. Took 12 hours.

Archren 04-15-2009 10:18 PM

On my own, probably about 3-400 miles.. (not on the Duc.. this bike I've done 200 miles in one day so far).

On the back of the Busa with Tracy going from Wendover, UT to Denver, CO... 725 miles.

OreoGaborio 04-15-2009 10:29 PM

I've done a handfull of 4-500 mile days over the past few years. Don't think I've gone too far beyond the 500 mark though.

I think this guy's got us ALL beat, though... if not in miles, definitely in the "mentally ill" department! :p

http://motorcycling.speedtv.com/arti...rida-non-stop/

Cutty72 04-15-2009 10:36 PM

200-300 I suppose. Not much of a long distance guy :idk:

thirdgenlxi 04-15-2009 11:33 PM

1100 miles in 22 hours on a saddlesore 1000 ride on my F4i back in '07. Other than that it's usually 400-500/day for leisurly trips, and 600-700/day for time constraint trips

Sixxxxer 04-16-2009 12:32 AM

Somewhere around 300 on one day...the rally ride will be a definate test for me once it gets closer.

I'm actually quite nervous

t-homo 04-16-2009 01:21 AM

I've only done about 600 in one day. There is one guy here who bought his bike brand new, and within a week had 7200 miles on it of twisties. He is also insane and destroyed his foot wearing tennis shoes in a wreck.

tommymac 04-16-2009 01:40 AM

840 in about 14 hrs. deals gap to LI, and that was with dc traffic, and waiting out 2 rain storms.

Sixxer, dont sweat it I did it by myself and that was tough, I think with the 3 of us together that will make it a little more bearable. i think the tough part will be doing the bulk of the trip in the dark, but we will see sunlight around 5 or 5:30 so hopefully that rejuvinates us,.

Who was it? Inquiring (evil) minds would like to know. :)

I've done 800 miles alone.

One day, son. ONE day! *hand smack to forehead*

Apoc 04-16-2009 09:11 AM

one day... Ugh... 12-1250 miles... left at like 6am, rode till almost midnight, from the western border of ontario to a few hours east of montreal. Ill have to check it to see what the distance actually is.

I didnt mind the mileage at all. The heat that week was ridiculous though. It was a good trip, wish I had slowed down to enjoy it all.

CrazyKell 04-16-2009 09:11 AM

I definitely don't know in miles but I've ridden a few hundred km's in a day. :idk:

I just mapped it and I've ridden about 600 KM in a day. That's probably the most.

z06boy 04-16-2009 09:19 AM

Maybe 300 to 350 for me. Weaksauce to many others but that's about it for me.

Katherine 04-16-2009 09:22 AM

About 750 from Indianapolis, IN to Charleston, SC in thunderstorms for half of it. When I got home, I took off my helmet and jacket but fell asleep in my rain pants and boots after texting Rae, Trip, and Ebbs to let them know I was home.

300 on a single SM. I thought it was impossible, but my ass was both sore and numb.

buzzcutt2 04-16-2009 10:37 AM

Probably 250 - 300. :idk:

anthonyk 04-16-2009 12:29 PM

About 800, from somewhere-the-hell-in-New-Mexico back to Austin. Took less time than I thought, but I still appreciated that soft tank bag... :D

In 24 hours, roughly 1150 miles- Meggett SC to Longview TX by way of rtes 10 & 49. In the middle of February.

In one stretch without sleep, roughly 1300 miles, including a 2-hour+ stop to have a tire replaced, another stop to buy a new helmet, and some random driving-around-looking-for-bike-shops. Elk City OK to Meggett SC, roughly 9AM Central time to 5PM Eastern time on the following day. (It's possible i dozed off for a few minutes sitting in a gas station restaurant around 4 AM)

KSGregman 04-16-2009 01:35 PM

About 420 miles...taking the back roads from my home to Cookson, OK on Tenkiller Lake...fun day. :dthumb:

lauralynne 04-16-2009 02:27 PM

we average about 800 a day on our road trips - all twisties, NO freeways. Laguna Seca one year we put on over 5000 miles in 5.5 days of riding - still no freeways! I'm on my superhawk and could keep going after a full day of riding, Louie's on his RC51 and is cripple but pushes on after 200 miles. (yes, custom seat, adjusted bars - all of that - it's still a torture rack)

I'm not sure, but the longest I remember is 12 hours of 2 lane back roads on a Ducati 900SS. it was around 500 miles.
My ass has never hurt that bad before or since. I was by myself, so the only stops were for gas and a smoke.

zed 04-17-2009 10:38 AM

it was somewhere between 600 and 650. we rode from Deals Gap to close to Davenport FL. in a few hours. Mostly in the rain. I think we were able to get mostly dried 2 times, made it home just in time to miss the rain again.

somehow I forgot, maybe it was because I wanted to but, Tina reminded me that I rode from above Davenport FL. to Key West and back in one day (well, a little over one day think it was like 25 or 26 hours). that was just over 800 miles in one day.

now, here's why I wanted to forget it. I was going to school in Orlando and we got a three day weekend so I talked one of my buddies into taking a weekend trip down to Key West. we were supposed to ride down there spend the night, run around Key West most of the day then head back. well, I don't know how many of you have been down there but when you get onto Key West but you have the choice to go left or right, if you take the right you go "downtown" if you go left you go to a beach with pretty much nothing else. He was a Georgia hick and wasn't happy that all we seen was the ocean and a beach, I said there has to be more than this here, lets go look around. He didn't want to, he wanted to go back. I tried to get him to just ride around the island some but he didn't want to. finally, I said ok, get on your fucking bike and you better keep up (I was on my 93 ZX11, he was on a 93 ZX6). we took off and think about 8 hours later I was hitting the sack. I didn't plan any more rides with him.

Yep, I've bought the Suzuki gel seat for my '00 'Busa, the '01 GSXR1000, the '03 GSXR1000 and now my '06 GSXR1000. Before that I always got Corbin seats going back to my '88 V-Max. I'm almost pissed at Suzuki for being able to manufacture such a comfortable seat and not having it come stock on the bike in the first place!

m stock Honda seat is comfy as hell - I never have issues even spending 18-20 hours on it in a day...maybe it's my custom butt that makes the difference

I have no butt padding, but I have a sargent seat. Although I would say it could use a tad more padding.

The seat size is what I think makes it more comfortable.

Where did you hear that? I've never heard that, and it does in fact make their job easier. If you go 100 miles down the interstate and back 5 times, yeah, they won't certify that I promise you.

The only catch is to be sure you get a receipt at your turnaround point.

Mr Lefty 11-20-2009 07:36 AM

Don't remember... but I know I've heard it multiple times... but that may be the issue... that they either did a repeat like you said... or didn't have the proper documentation.

wonder if you can send them GPS routing with all your gas receipts... so if ya take back roads ad go 20miles where 10 would do... would they count it?

defector 11-20-2009 08:51 AM

I didn't go through the process of sending everything in this time. I'm sure I will do another one and I was busy with other shit right around then so I never sent off for it. I am more interested in having the license plate frame than anything lol.

HokieDNA01 11-20-2009 11:55 AM

about 550 of interstate on the ninja 250 (rode to VT after the shooting). About 500miles on the GSXr all twisty. 2-300 mile days are my norm most weekend rides

850 miles from Nederland Co to Ft Worth TX on a V-Strom. That northwestern corner of New Mexico sucks goat balls.
