VIDEO: Motorcycle wheelie crash at 90mph with helmet cam-d'oh!

Well, he came down a little off, got into a nasty tank slapper, then the sky/dirt thing... does capture well what a high speed wreck feels like
(well looks like anyway from a 1st person view point)

a tough one...

Dave 04-25-2009 09:39 AM

im impressed that it stayed on and attached

BobTheBiker 04-25-2009 09:48 AM

from the looks of it his front wheel wasnt straight when he put it down, and that caused the tank slapper that sent him tumbling.

Mr Lefty 04-25-2009 09:51 AM

damn I'm impressed with that camera!

zed 04-25-2009 12:15 PM

good find for both, first person view of a tumble and good cam mount.

that guy should send that video in to the cam manufacturer.

Jeff

They checked him out after he crashed. You see him move his fingers and then the guy looks at his legs and all. I guess they are experienced with this stuff.

Looks like his Icon held up well too.

Well the video clearly shows that he was checked out and clearly he was in the hands of expert medical proffesionals so who the hell cares? Its implied that he actually walked away in better shape than before the crash.

Rider 04-27-2009 09:02 AM

Example number 5003 why I don't do wheelies.

xx CURVE xx 04-27-2009 09:34 AM

That's like when Kaneman and I crashed. Since he was checking on me, walking, and talking, my mind registered that he was ok. My first question was: "How bad is the bike?"

zed 04-27-2009 07:41 PM

after my last crash, I asked which bike I was riding.

Me too! I don't mind the front wheel coming up from my spirited right wrist on occasion, but no clutching it up for me.

Particle Man 04-27-2009 09:51 PM

ouch.... that's gonna hurt like hell in the morning
