Not I.

was92v 05-10-2009 07:38 PM

I'm thinking Tommymac nailed that one to the floor.

NONE_too_SOFT 05-10-2009 11:12 PM

I did 650, im up there.

derf 05-14-2009 11:08 PM

Technically I did because I added 200 miles to my trip driving into Brooklyn before I drove to Suches, but I was driving my truck so does it really count?

Other than thta Tommy is probably the longest rider, coming from Long Island

Phenix_Rider 05-15-2009 06:58 AM

Mine was 677 miles on the directions. I added a few by going through Boone, and taking the scenic route the whole way. But then I broke it into two days. Tommy takes it- 17 hours in one day.

tommymac 05-15-2009 07:10 AM

Thats right bitchez I got the high mileage award :rockwoot: i turned 900 on the nose as we pulled into TWO the 17 hrs was from when I met sixxer in DE.

Nice, I was hoping for between 3-4k miles for the whole trip, but after missing a day due to my tire then not realy riding much the next day it went way down. Plus at the gap we were right there so no need for a 3 or 4 hundred mile day when the good roads are at your doorstep.

Tom

Sixxxxer 05-15-2009 10:48 AM

Yeah...I thought it would be a little more...But still, I'm packing on the Miles...2300 is a SHIT load in this tyimeframe...At least for me anyway...I only had 5k on the bike in a whole season last year.

The thing for us is we have to ride many miles to get to the good roads, between the gap and two they were prety much right there. Besides I think we get the most street cred for that 17 hr epic through all the storms and ups trucks

Tom

Sixxxxer 05-15-2009 10:58 AM

LMAO...Fucking Nascar Race With UPS trucks...I felt like Dale Jarret.

I didnt even realize we were pushing 17 hours until We got there and I was like...Wow, That took 17 Hours.

Def Made some Lifelong stories, I cant say id ever Do it on the ZX6R again....Maybe I would break it up into a two day ride. Either way I had an Amazing Time.

Bet your ass is sore! Now if you had ridden an additional 8500 miles in that 11days you would be in Iron Butt Rally territory (those people are nuts)

I thought about an IBA patch afterwards, all I needed was another 100 miles and easily could have done it in 2 hrs.

Tom

when I did the Indy Trip... I had 904 in 14 hrs... if I had a witness seem me leave (requirement for the iron butt) i'd have ridden passed Rae's house for 100 miles just to get it.

Went 28 South, To 40 East...ALLLLLLLL The way Across to Raleigh, To 64 East...Which Runs Right into Nags Head...took about 8 hours Total...I averaged 90 the whole way...With Spurts of 100 here and there.

I Had NO Idea how far away I was at any one point in time (Apparently noone in NC knows where the fuck the Outer banks is compared to there Location)...When I was in Raleigh I "Thought" I was like an hour or two away...I was still 4 hours out...Had I known that I would have gotten a Hotel room...But I pushed through.

Its my last day here in OBX...I am Def Ready to go home...I miss my bed.

40 can be a long boring road. I broke up the trip home by getting off at 77 then going back the way we came. I thought about 40 to 85 to 95 but I remember that being just as long and painful.

Tom

Sixxxxer 05-16-2009 12:27 PM

It was Brutal Tommy, Absolutly Brutal.

tached1000rr 05-16-2009 12:35 PM

No shit! ATL traffic, even on the loop, during rush hour fucking SUCKS!!!! :td:

I think Eric and I figured my trip home was about 700 or so. From ATL to here it took me 8 hours and that was roughly 500 miles. Eric took me the scenic route from the Gap to Cartersville which was a blast! :rockwoot: I ate and rested there for a couple of hours before heading back out. I should have paid more attention to the time because I got stuck in rush hour traffic. I pretty much WALKED the bike through that. Talk about having arm pump! Not to mention it took over a freakin' hour to get through it....*grumble grumble*
