At least in the last one I was spinning up the rear a little bit. I hadn't been out in about a year. It felt good just to get some laps in after that long...

I definitely need a newer, lighter bike. Wrestling that tank around all afternoon took it's toll.

Looks like you were having a good time.

Tmall 07-13-2009 07:26 AM

A tank? Lol

That fossil must weigh at least 10lbs more than a new one!

No it's not the bike, you are just getting old

tommymac 07-13-2009 08:38 AM

Looks like you need to get your upper body off the bike too. Thats what I always get yelled at for so I should know

That is what I was thinking.

Great pictures! Glad you had a good time... at least it looks like it!

shmike 07-13-2009 08:47 AM

How tall are you, Rice?

Those pics make you look huge.

Glad to hear you had fun.

You'll have to make the trek down and join us at Homestead or PBIR (old Moroso) one of these weekends. :D

Rice is NOT a small guy by any means. From where I stand (at least a foot shorter than everyone else) he looked at least as tall as tommy.

Looks like you had some good fun man, glad to see you got back out there!

tached1000rr 07-13-2009 09:26 AM

Great pics! That's color scheme is my fav on the GSXR 1000, loved that year model.

I'm 6'2 about 210. Do they still have the open practice days at Moroso? I wouldn't mind getting in on some of that. Let me know when you guys are gonna make it and I'll see what I can do.

I thought you were much shorter.

The new set up at PBIR is Friday night test & tune's under the lights. I haven't been to one yet but hear it is usually pretty wide open.

They still have the open trackday the day before weekend races but you have to hold a race license.

Or you could come to one of the Florida Trackdays dates. Me, jgalt and racerboy are all CR for FLTD's and try to make every event possible. http://floridatrackdays.com/

Sweet. It will probably be a month or two before I can afford to go again but I'll definitely get over there. Is that every Friday at PBIR?

Don't tempt me! If I hadn't just ordered a new body(here this week!) , redone the forks and shock, powdercoated the rims, ordered a new chain, installed new H.I.D.s (two weeks ago), bought a new taillight (white Clear Alternatives), I'm also trying to find blue rear turn signal lenses for cheap! Oh and I'm searching for a decent undertail or block off plate...

Hey, if you ever want to trade for a month or something, that would be cool. We just keep full coverage on the bikes...:idk:

tommymac 07-13-2009 02:08 PM

A so so day at the track still beats a good day of most anything else:rockwoot:

Tom

tached1000rr 07-13-2009 03:14 PM

Heck I define "good form" as the bike upright on two wheels with me on it still in any circumstance.
