How many miles can you ride COMFORTABLY before you need to pull over?
With most of us riding torture racks I was curious how many miles can you stand before you must pull over to give your aching body a quick break?

Last time I rode on the street I went about 100 miles before I swore off rearsets and Florida highways.

Depends on the road. If it's boring straight/flat/interstate riding, I get about 40 miles before I get uncomfortable, at 80 miles I can't think about anything but the next stop, at 120 I'm shifting from one side of the seat to the other to give one cheek a break. And, if I get through a whole tank of gas, at about 170 -180 miles I need a crane to pick me up and stretch me out. And nothing hurts more than getting back on the seat.
Twisties? I can ride them all day, a few hundred miles and not get uncomfortable. Tired, but not uncomfortable. |
About 28min or until the track marshall comes and waves the finish flag... Then it's +2min for a cooldown lap :P
|
At the least 150 miles. My bike at 80mph will do a bit over 200 miles per tank.
|
I can make it through 2 gas tanks, about 170 miles each before my body starts to tell me to slow down. I get pains between my shoulders and it starts to hurt around 125 miles after that then my mileage goes down big time to about 60 miles or 1 hour between breaks.
I do slightly better on a cruiser but not much |
My traps (a muscle in your neck) start to hurt after an hr unless I move my head around more.
|
About 200 miles for me. Then a quick break is all I need.

I look forward to the low fuel light...

150ish my back from a previous injury starts to hurt and i have to walk around a bit, then the head needs a good rubbing when i have short hair.
