Frame Sliders?
I have a friend whos getting their first bike and she wants to get frame sliders. She sent me a link to these http://www.whaccessories.com/Suzuki-...600-Bandit.htm . I have never used frame sliders before so I know nothing about them, but those seem pretty expensive if you have to buy separate sets for the front of the engine, the mid frame, and the swingarm. What should she get? This is for a Bandit 600.

Look up sliders by Motovation and Woodcraft. Both are top notch and should give you the ballpark price for a set of good sliders for that particular bike.

Gsg Is good stuff but pricey
I have ft rear axle sliders by rhinoMoto Woodcraft frame sliders |

That said, I'm not a fan of sliders... |
I like sliders for streetbikes, since they can protect the fairings from tipovers especially if you're a newb....But for the track it is debatable

Good sliders bolt directly to an engine bolt or wrap around the frame (steel frames). I don't just though bracket sliders.
Sliders are good for tip overs. They're are 50/50 when the bike is actually sliding. Digging into the ground and ripping apart while damaging the bike is their down fall when and if it happens. |

Well, I'm a fan of sliders for sure since my bike has been down five times and look at it. I also use axle sliders, swingarm sliders and would use engine sliders if I didn't already have Vortex covers...
Maybe the sliders haters should check out the newer, flatter frame sliders that are out. They don't do Crap for the body work but incorporated with axle and engine sliders.....:idk: |

I'd even ask for a track/race bike but I already know the required internet response. |

Of the injuries we have had at my events, the most serious have happened by the frame sliders catching and flipping the bike into the rider. One of them not at a high speed. Therefore, I wouldn't put them on any bike I own. As far as tip over in a parking lot, and putting sliders on to keep your bike pretty... sliders themselves aren't ”pretty.” I'll take my chances. |
