Awesome show
Went to see King's X at the Stone Pony last night.
I've seen them many times before, but they were just killer last night. Best concert I've seen. Worth checking out if they're coming to your town. |
No one knows about/likes these guys??

Holy crap...apparently no one here has! They made VH1's top 100 bands of all time! They've had a number of hits, and have been around for 25 years. I always joke around and say that they're the most unknown and under-appreciated killer fucking rock band of all time, but frankly I'm shocked that no one here knows them.

Here's a clip from Woodstock '94, where they played...

A little more recent material also covered at Woodstock (Dogman):

I've heard of them, they just never did much for me. For some reason, I thought they were a Christian band?

Early on they were almost were marketed as such, but they steered clear. They're damn heavy, but still melodic. They're all incredible musicians, and among the best live singers in the biz. What they put on records, they deliver live.
A lot of power for just a power trio... |
Agreed.
I saw them when I was a kid, when they opened for Living Colour. |
I was blown away to see them every bit as powerful as ever, 25 years on. They totally rocked the Pony, dude (nothing better than seeing a stadium-caliber band in an intimate setting, for just a couple hundred).
Not too many bands make it past 5 years...these guys are still so powerful, and so polished... |
