Or the Marlin 45/70

I love that Guide Gun. If I could afford another rifle that's expensive to shoot, I'd have one.

Actually, if I weren't under budget constraints right now, I'd pick up a Henry lever action .22's. That frontier model (octagonal barrel) really appeals to me.

I've got one of these in a 12 ga, http://www.chiappafirearms.com/product/831

And a Ruger lever action in a 44 mag.

I'm looking for a bolt-action .243 for hunting season. Don't really care what brand.

Academy and Cabela's have both been running specials on their Remingtons, Mossbergs, and Weatherbys if you want to buy new.
If you want used.. well, enjoy your gun store & pawnshopping. :D

If you're spending your hard earned money, then you better care what brand.

That said, I recommend Tikka T3.

My dad has a Python, blued with hogue grips. Without question, the sweetest-shooting gun I've ever fired. I want one, but can't afford the price of admission.

FT, I've been missing my old 30-30 lately and really jonesing for another lever-action rifle for a brush gun. They're relatively cheap, but the wife will shoot me with any new guns I bring home right now.

I've put a few rounds through the same gun with the same grips...it was very nice.
