think this is allowed on a plane?
so i'm flying to another state to P/U a bike 9/11 weekend, flyin in riding back
1100mi........lol anyways, takin a tank bag w/ this tool http://www.coloradocyclist.com/img/p.../parsfaws9.jpg think it'll be a prob. |
Unlikely. Could easily be construed as a potential weapon.
|
sounds like i might just have to check in my magnetic tank bag, they're gonna love it when it sticks to their conveyer line.........lol
|
I'd say "nope". I used to travel with tools all the time for work. Now the only thing I'm allowed to bring is a tape measure. You can put it in checked luggage, though.
|
try to notify the airline that you will be bringing small tools on board. and ask them what the proper procedure for that is. see what they say...maybe they can put a note on your boarding pass or you can give the bag to a flight attendant when you get on board.

but if i do have to check in luggage, i guess i can put my carry knife in there as well...... but i am worried about the magnetic part..... |
Dude, I can't even get through with my "space pen" without causing a scene.
I also don't recommend checking bags these days (I've got at least 3 bags floating around the ether after the past several years of frequent air travel). Can you fed-ex it to yourself somewhere? Where you flying into? |
i'm meeting up w/ CastorTroy so maybe i could send it to him.
Raleigh/Durham, NC |
Only a terrorist would ask a question like that :nono:

funny you say that, before 9/11 i took this on a flight w/ no prob's.
http://www.1sks.com/store/media/emer...b-wave-bts.jpg wouldn't let on the return flight. only cuz it had serrations...... screw boxcutters. |
