Damn, just saw it, I think it hit a little too close to home. First half of the movie was realistic as hell, I mean perfect to the T, 2nd part was just out there on the realism level. Still cant decide what I think of the movie, I think I may be trying to process it all still.

watched some "making off" except for the main actors all the extra's are recently returned soldiers from the sand box, so they don't need training on how to act and react.

adds to the realism of course.

You mean "pogues"? :nee: I'm a pogue (although at least one that gets out periodically..), and I sit, smoke, and laugh at Hajji for having horrible aim with mortars.

No joke, that was what my first deployment was like in 2004. We had one day where, between the shit they were lobbing at us and our counter-battery, the sky was lit up like the damn 4th of July.

But ya know... if they're aiming AT people I care about, I'm totally ok with their aim being horrible :)

i consider it an insult to my pride as a warrior. Imagine preparing for the inevitable clash between east and west and when you finally do go its against pathetic amatures, cowards who hide behind children and bombs. Unforgivable

No insult intended to past, present, or future service members.
