Saw something cool today
 

I was outside working this afternoon, hear a jet so I looked up. There were two jet streams parallel. Looking at it further there were two planes flying side by side in the same direction and they were about even. I thought it looked pretty cool.

While looking up I caught a glimpse of a rainbow, which was odd because it was a sunny day today - no rain. :shrug: After following the rainbow I realized it was a ring around the sun! How cool is that? I don't recall ever seeing one like that before or what causes it.

I wanted to get a picture but I knew that it wouldn't turn out since I had to shoot directly at the sun. Sorry. I made hubby come look at because it was so cool.

No idea what causes it but I see it from time to time. Pretty :cool:

Kind of, but the sun was still high in the sky so it was a full ring around it.

I knew someone would think I'm smoking something.

Yeah, it was a full circle earlier in the day I just did not take pictures of it then. :beers: Also see it around the moon occasionally too. :beers:
