Only 442 I would take is a mid/late 80's one. Sure they were slow, but they were 10 times better looking. And anything can be made fast.

Yes, a 70 convertable with the 455 and a 4 speed would do nicely.

The GM A-body 68-72 is my favorite muscle platform. I've gone through 3 of them.

I can make that seemingly ungainly turd perform utter ballet with a fucking stick.

Yeah, whenever I get the time and money I'm gonna make this a bit more like the 442. Hood/decklid/bumpers, might even drop in the 455 Rocket. We shall see when the time comes.

Everything had fucking EGR on it. It was not a good time for muscle.

Even the Vette was doing 18 second quarters, and taking it in the ass from Country Squire station wagons of just a few years prior.
