jet pack becoming reality

At least I'm only 36. I'm hoping like hell the price comes down a shit ton before I'm too old to buy one.

worked for me. honestly i was expecting more than a 100,000 price tag. That's somewhat reasonable for being the first production jet pack ever made.

interesting, kinda like an updated bell rocketbelt. woulda thought theyd put the control surfaces closer to the motor but i guess theres a lower chance of frying your legs where its at

Cool. Now all I need is my MI armour, and I can go toast some bugs.

I think I would spring for the optional parachute. Just in case.

better send me two, cause my hundred grand toy isn't dropping to the ground alone.

Epically awesome. I want one. I love the article write up too.

I think I'll wait till they come out in a more reasonable size tho., Strapping a miata on my back doesnt seem reasonable for the feeling of flight.

It won't be long to you see young rich kids flying to their deaths in the news.

the chi 10-05-2010 09:12 AM

Ya know, that was kinda my thought. If you get frustrated by the daily traffic issues, but you decide to start flying instead and theres no regulation as of yet for that, who's to say there wont be mid air collisions constantly from folks hot rodded around in the air with their jetpacks?

How did Harry Potter do it?
