Bought a new toy

It's 2011, so I figured it was time to buy a new toy, and what better way to celebrate 2011 than buying my first 1911. My budget was a little less than I had planned, but I think I came away with a nice piece of hardware.

I picked up an ATI 1911 GI with 4.25" bbl. For a nice little price, I'm pretty impressed so far. It's a solid gun with some impressive tolerances. The trigger has a nice, crisp pull on it, and it's got a good feel in hand. I haven't been able to put any rounds down range yet, so this is all just initial impressions. Hopefully it performs as well as it looks. It's not quite the carry gun I was looking for, but if it shows itself to be reliable after a couple hundred rounds, I could see carrying it. Hell, it fits perfectly in the holster I currently carry my Keltec in.

Sorry for the suck camera phone pic, but it's what I gots for the moment.

This be the gun.

Nice... my next one will be a snub nose revolver. I myself don't like having guns that are too similar.

Very cool. Revolvers are next for me. Do you have any revolvers in mind? The Chiappa Rhino in .357 is calling my name.

Why the pens? Just to pose the gun for pics?

To prop them up and get a decent picture.
