Yeah, an unfair price advantage for online retailers- if they eat the cost of shipping to the customer, of course.

Not always. I know walmart and soem of the other sites charge me sales tax in NY. I am not sure if amazon does since I havent ordered anything from them in a while. Some site make you order a certain amt to qualify for the free shipping. For me I figured the shipping would balance out not paying hte sales tax.

Some retailers charge sales tax. Best buy for example.

If the places have a brick and mortar store in NY they will. Most MC supply places dont so I dont get charged, but I did with walmart when I ordered my tv online.I am now boycotting best buy so I wouldnt know about them :lol:
