When I was a kid we used to do crap like that, all the time. The difference is that we were smart enough to pick places where we could use an arm and leg on each side, so that we could pull ourselves up when we got where we were going.

Then again we used to jump off a bridge into a lake in a place where the pilings for the old bridge still existed, so we weren't exactly rocket surgeons.
