so is the rally on or off?
is myrtle going to happen? the mayor says one thing here http://www.myrtlebeachbikerinfo.com/message.html
and the bike week people counter that here. http://www.myrtlebeachbikeweek.com/ |
Looks like a case of, "Fuck you, we're coming anyway".

Saw a blip on the news last night. Looks like Myrtle will not have one and has past some very strict anti "motocycle" laws. They also are trying to get their sister town to cancle their rally. :idk: all the details though.

the laws that they passed are pretty useless as a deterrent anyway. a helmet law (pisses off most cruiser guys but not a deterrent) a curfew for minors (affects less than 1% of rally attendees) and a noise ordinance (the 15 dollar fines will keep the bad bikers at bay?)

All I got to say is "ha ha." People got to learn to not shit on the playground. Same type of people have fucked up the gap.

If people show, it is a rally...If you don't enter Myrtle Beach or spend a dime inside the city limits, teaches them a lesson
I am going to Daytona, otherwise, I would go just to spend some money in the county and tell the city to suck air |
Yup, its gonna happen anyway, but the bussiness inside the city limits will suffer. I'm sure with the large number of people they get bussiness will go up 10x, but honestly i would avoid the Myrtle Beach city like it is teh plauge. I can alsmost guarantee that the police will be consatantly stopping every motorcycle that they can, even for bogus reasons.
Plus if someone rolls in with Kansas plates and gets a $100 ticket for no helmet or noise polution or some stupid reason like that how much you wanna bet that they just pay the fine, rather than show up for court to fight it. |
exactly why we are boycotting this year and going to obx instead
