my projects

little while back I figured out that I really didn't like putting the video camera in the tank bag or if at the track duct taping it to the tank so I found a piece of metal that pretty much was already the shape I wanted and put some holes in the bottom part so they would match up with the bolts that hold the steering damper to the upper triple clamp. I do not use the video camera to do anything but record the video so the angle of the camera doesn't matter.

for the time being this is how the remote cam is being mounted when I go out. I've got some ideas about how I want to mount it but haven't figured out what materials to use yet.

I also made my own rear stand

I've also got a few ideas about some different exhaust. I can't afford to buy those aftermarket ones so I'm trying to figure out how to make them myself cheaper.

here's my rendition of the A&R mod.

I used these baffles out of leftovers from a cruiser exhaust kit

I had to add a little to it to make it long enough so I wouldn't have to cut the cans down.

reusing the packing from the stock can and some stainless steel zipties

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...oject004-1.jpg

got it pop riveted back together and...

I'll get them installed later, too cold in the basement right now and with a few inches of snow on the ground I'm not going riding. but it's supposed to hit 65 by the end of next week.

another exhaust idea I had was to do a dual low mount after finding a set of Z1000 exhaust where I used to work.

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...project002.jpg

got it cut down and sand blasted.

I'm still looking for someone that has a cat pipe I can get pretty cheap because I think I'm going to have to cut it and change the exit angle to get the pipe to come out at the right area.

I've also got another exhaust project that's in the idea stage still. may end up doing something completely from scratch instead of using the stock parts that I have but it's going to be sorta like a GP style when it's done.

going to try to use the stock parts first, cut and weld these to come up through the stock place and have a dual exit.

another project was for the license plate holder. we had some left over parts from a crash job so I figured I'd use them.

I ended up moving it to the holes towards the back and running the light wire up through the original hole.
