Amazing handheld bug zapper

Have you guys seen this thing?

http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/bug_zapper.html

A friend gave one to me, said her dad loves the thing. It's only two AA batteries, so I don't see how it can really have much power. HOLY FUCK!!! I simply tapped it with one finger. That fucking thing hurts. Will be fun to swat some asses with it when you all come up to Indy for MotoGP.

I doubt that thing has enough power to arc through clothing and I am not playing naked swat ass with you.

There was a vid on youtube of my buddy shocking his dick with one.

One of the funniest things I've ever witnessed. But, they've taken it down...

I'm not testing it on myself. It hurt bad enough the first time. My finger still tingles.

Had one in iraq to entertain me during many boring days. The one I had took C cell batteries.

Does it matter what voltage is powering it when its a capacitor doing the discharging?

Amps do more damage than voltage. That's why those 50kV tasers or whatever don't kill you. They use small caps in these so they don't really do any damage. We use to charge some up and throw them to a buddy to give a good shock in lab.

That's what I was getting at. The cap is set for a certain amperage, right?

So, dump 20 volts or 20k volts and it still charges to, let's say 5ma?

Or, does the cap work as a storing resistor? The higher the e the higher the I because of r of the cap?

You want a tingle? Try changing a fuse in a computer supply. :panic: My arm was numb for 3 days.
