Best Small Furry Pet

I really want a dog, but we don't have and don't want to put up a fence yet. So a dog is out of the question.

So the next best thing is something small and furry. Namely like a guinea pig or rabbit.

I actually almost killed a little baby bunny that had a nest in some high grass I was weedeating and messed up it's nest. I tried to rebuild it, but I don't think it came back in the night when I checked this morning. Hope it found it's momma.

Andrea has ruled out ferrets, I would love to have two ferrets.

Anyone have any experience in good small furry pets that require little maintenance and aren't big biters/mean when handling. I had hamsters before, I hated those little bastards.

Get a chinchila(I don't know how to spell it).

I don't know what they are, but it's really furry and soft!

dont necessarily NEED to have a fence for a dog, just walk them yourself and you're good to go. I do with mine daily, apartments kinda force you to.

gerbil. Low on biting and its a desert critter so it doesnt really pee and its poop is low on moisture and stink

Chinchilla or Guinea Pig(i loved ours)

Chinchillas are said to be EXTREMELY Hyper and will run for hours:idk: i never owned one

Pigs are Awesome little pets and the Squeaky noise they make is just plain Cute:sorry:

Ferrets are pretty damn cool you can play with them like a dog and just about tie them in a knot(Think Living noodle)
Litter Trainable like a Cat and Small like a rat

Tell the little lady to stop trimming. Have her grow it out like an afro.
Make sure she uses a good conditioner.

Send her over to see my ferrets, she'll change her mine...

I've got 2: Bonnie & Clyde. As long as you keep the litter box cleaned and them bathed or spritzed, low to no odor, and you can add things to their water to completely descent them...and they chase the dog all over the house, they're a riot...

If no ferret...um...one of those flying squirrel things, but they can be mean if not handled alot.

I'd still go for a dog even though you don't have a fence. It takes some initial work in the training but it's very rewarding.

How about a bunny?
