This is a sad story about a local fucktard who didn't use the brains he was given before he decided to throw a leg over his bike. It's shit like this that give ALL motorcycle riders a bad name. At least he didn't kill anyone but himself.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A 22-year-old Grand Rapids man died early Friday morning after he crashed his motorcycle.

Police say Eric James Verhaar was traveling east on Pleasant Street SE around 1:15 a .m. and crashed where Union Avenue SE ends.

Police say the skid marks left at the scene indicate Verhaar was traveling at a high rate of speed. They also say Verhaar had been drinking before the accident and was not wearing a helmet when he crashed.

Friends gave Verhaar medical assistance at the scene but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Hmmm.... I wonder if I knew him?

Nobody from WMR knew him and I didn't know him. Based on his age I doubt he knew anyone from the now defunct GRSR.

let's see drinking, no helmet, yep dumbass. no sympathy. sucks for his family though.
