The damn drive line lashing is the killjoy. It may be fine on a touring bike, or if pushing it, a sport touring bike since that most Beemers are fairly sporty in the handling department. But for a true sport bike? It sucks. It's herky jerky, and heaven helps you if you don't blip the throttle right on the downshift. Talking about rear tire locking up.
That HP2 Sport is a hell of a bike considering that it runs on an aircooled twin AND funky shocks AND shaft drive. But if they were just to eliminate the shaft drive, I can deal with the funky shocks since that I've been riding these Telever/Paralever suspension for several years and get used to the vague feedbacks already. However, knowing BMW, they'd probably did this model as a statement - See what our engineers can do with a bike that is not a true sport bike design.
