I got a new job working EMS but I'll only be a part time employee since I'll be going to school full time starting this spring. They don't offer health insurance to part time employees so I'm going to have to buy individual health coverage.

I've looked around trying to find information about individual plans that wasn't from a company but it hasn't turned up much.

I had Cobra but couldn't pay the $255 a month. My account was terminated and I'd have to appeal it to get it back but I'm not really wanting to pay $255 a month for just me.

Does anyone have experience with individual health insurance. Or once I start school full time can I get student health insurance even though I'm 26?
