Default ...the nicest people on a Honda

A Honda magazine ad in the 60's showed a step-through motorcycle with clean-cut young people riding and a caption stating "You meet the nicest people on a Honda."

I was dropping off some videos at the Golden Library today when I saw a Honda VF500 outside. Introduced in the early 80's, most were raced and crashed. This one was painted olive drab. While I was looking, the owner came out. She was an instructor at the same school I took my Total Control class. She said she "rattle-canned" the paint job. She admired my old GS1000 and said she learned on a GS650. I asked if she wanted to ride up Lookout Mountain, but she had to go home.

I googled "Army VF500" and came up with this video of her and her bike. She cut her hair since the video.
