I agree on fewer pieces=better crash protection. Dainese and several other companies use a separate piece of leather for every color. Icon layers the colors on and Kush and you say RS silk screens the colors on. I don't know for sure but in my "crazy" mind, I've crashed Icon, Dainese, A*, Joe Rocket, Technic and AGV and my Icon stood up the best. Of course every crash is different so...
