I agree that something is up.

He could be at the top for another 5 years.

The guys that get to that level have a drive to do so. That is why retirement is so hard for many of them.

I wonder if the CRT thing has anything to do with it. I'm personally not much of a fan of his, but more power to him. I bet Honda will bring truckloads of $ to try and convince him to stay.

Good point, could be like the health problems he had a few years ago. But at the same time if hes saying hes not having fun or doesnt have that drive anymore then its time to step down.

MotoGP is dying on the vine..it gets upstaged at every circuit by Moto2...and increasingly by WSB ...

Sure it is a "prototype/technology" showcase...but...they've COMPLETELY fucked the most important aspect of the class...the RACING. With a couple of exceptions, the racing in that class has SUCKED for 2 seasons..little more than preordained processions around each circuit.
