I am going to be replacing them in my futura in the next week or so. I have to order a set but will start disassembly tomorrow. Any tips or advice on doing the job. I went through it in the manual and it doesnt look too bad but figured if anyone has any tips to make the job easier I will gladly take it

You using tapered-roller vs. ball-bearings?
That'd be my main advice, beyond not dropping your shit on the floor 'cus you used bungee cords and drywall anchors to hang it.

Kerry, guys on the aprilia forum have used both and said the regular ball bearrings worked just fine compared to the tapered rollers. I gotta look around on line to order a set today anyway. |

Yeah, ball bearings work fine & have a *little* less drag than tapered-roller - they just don't last as long or handle as much abuse. Keep your monster stand-up wheelies & jumping to a minimum and they should give you plenty of service though.
Oh - races in the freezer for a while + gently heating the neck = easy installation. |
