It's less about salary, and more about order of priority. Most 20-somethings don't have a house or a retirement plan yet, and that should come before buying a shiny new motorcycle with $5K worth of mods, IMO.

What makes it even more sad/amusing, is that more than half of the riders I've met ended up selling their bike only 1 year after installing all thier mods. I have no problem with someone spending a lot of money on something, as long as they keep it long enough to get some utility from it.

Slam him all you want Ed, you're only 20 years and a couple hundred extra pounds from being him. I hope I'm still riding at his age.

There's not a lot of places to ride in DC and the traffic is horrendous, so he probably does little more than ride to bike gatherings where appearance > corner carving.

Hmmm 5- 6 yo bike and 300 mi, do you qualify that as ' riding' ? , I guess you could.

Don't forget us Asians tend to look young for our age, so bet he's closer to 70 if not older.

Who's slamming him

.

I disagree completely. The time to enjoy yourself is when your young. The future isnt guaranteed.

I live on a strict budget. I get paid every wednesday. I pay my bills for that week, and spend the rest. Fuck it. My pension is paid by the company, I have shares through work that I consider savings. The rest is expendable income.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make here. Are you agreeing with me that there's nowhere to ride in DC, or trying to argue but don't comprehend what I said?

Sad that he made it ugly like 90% of Busa's out there.

When I was at the lodge in Oklahoma on my bike trip an older lady told us that here husband bought his first Harley when he turned 70.
