The BMW, because:
1) it's still under warranty 2) it's a stick shift 3) bmw's usually steer & handle better than mercedes 4) the 335 twin-turbo has nearly all the performance of the M3 anyway |

For sure. That's what I'm leaning towards. The C55 is much more rare and it does come with a monster V8, but something about just doesn't seem right. It went to the dealer for an electrical problem with 5K on the odometer and it's had 3 owners since. ![]() On top of that, I've always thought bmw's were some of the best "driving" cars. Had a 97 328i back in the days and had my brothers e46 m3 for a few months, real fun to drive. PS. BobTheBiker...You're missing out!

BMW..
2005 MB new were all over the place quality wise and a 4 year old AMG might turn into an expensive headache REALLY quick. |

Considering all the german autos use the same suppliers I would say buy whatever you like better. I'd get the manual though.

suppliers ok.. (don't believe it but what ever) but that doesn't necessarily make the cars the same... IIRC AMG's are hand built motors...
