There is a 1991 405S I want to get...or my bud has a 1983 GLT Turbo Volvo Wagon that has a new motor and new manual trans...

used to work on this 1 peugot when i was at NTB, after 3 yrs of replacing the same ball joints under warranty, we refunded his $........stupid lifetime warranty crap.

 My first car was a 74 (+/-) Peugeot 104 - 4 door with moon roof  Piece of shit caught fire while I was on the fast lane of the autobahn.... breaks were gone by the time I coasted to the emergency lane. I bumped the car into the side, grabbed some of my luggage and watched the tank explode (the car "jumped" about 2 feet high) I left on the firetruck - and had some beers with the volunteer firefighters till me ride picked me up. It looked like this (before the fire):

Yea, I bought one for my wife a while back. Pretty reliable so far, even at top speed.

Why in the HELL would ANYONE willingly BUY a peugeot?!?!
I had a buddy in HS who had one (his dad had 3) and it was constantly breaking down

They made some fast hatchbacks, but good luck on reliability and parts sourcing.
As for Volvo wagons, sure if you like driving something that looks like a refrigerator turned on its side. Fast? Sure, compared to what was available back then, but these days they aren't any faster than a V6 Camry. Last edited by Homeslice; 10-02-2009 at 09:28 AM.. |
