Ooooooh, what an excuse to hang around an extra day and take in St. Paddy's in Savannah. But, alas, no.

Bummer. I'm riding down from Charleston to watch a friend compete. From what I hear there are already some big names down there now. I was hoping to meet some TWFxr's. Next time!

Which I finally checked out Roebling Rd's website for the first time and the track looks pretty cool. Looks like it would be a great track for a 1st track day. I didn't realize it was that close. I use to visit friends all the time in Statesboro so it was really right down the road(also answers the mystery of why I always saw tracked out BMWs heading up GA80) MIght have to find out how I can get my bike on there(Once I get my suspension tuned right) and practice. I can stay in Statesboro for free.

You guys missed quite a day yesterday.
Popped up a tent between turns 4 and 5 in the afternoon. I saw a couple crashes and a couple run offs. Mostly I saw guys going faaaaaaaaaast! These guys are going to need helmet pucks soon. Its ridiculous how friggin low and quick they are. When I arrived, the track was shut down because both ambulances were out. There was a pile up in turn 1 with four bikes. Two bikes were able to continue. One guy broke his arm. The other passed away. RIP. |

Heard about that on Georgia Sportbike. I can't remember the name of who died but the guy who broke his arm was on the same forum. Said he saw the guy get CPR 50ft away.
I think it was the 600cc Novice class. Still would have loved to come out. Hoping to get a new job soon with Saturday's off and I'll be checking the races out more.
