I'm back... sucks. I could live up there.

Racing that tard was fun and I did well on it... had some more ups and downs on the big bike... Actually I can copy/paste a race report from my local forum if anyone is interested. Hopefully will have some photos soon

lol... worked overtime to build up and then applied it to days off. I don't get paid more for it but I can build/use it... i.e. work an extra hour a day for 8 days then take a day off, etc....

What are the Pit Bull restraints?

Took some for you. You can also see the light and a couple of the outlets I put in. 3 bikes in there at the time I took this... rear two are my race bikes, other is my buddy's tricked out drz street/trackday toy.

The main thing I have left to do to the trailer is use some of the airspace... I want to put in a tire rack up on the wall... some hooks on the wall for wheels and stands... and build a bench and a couple cabinets into the front of the trailer. All in time...

I really like them... not only does it save you from using straps, and save the stress on the suspension of compressing it all down... but also it's just so damn easy especially after a long day of racing... THe garage is great... pretty much in the same state as before. Dicking around with garages and trailers and stuff can wait until the offseason at this point

To build a real one though... def mad $$... hence why I bought mine already built. Hell, if you add the wheels, the brake setup, the clutch, and the triple clamps, that's pretty much what I paid for the bike right there

Awww man.... I was scheduled to but ended up having to go on work travel during that time, I found out last week

I will be CRing the ones down in NJ though at the beginning of sept... come on up! And stay for the AMA races that weekend!!!!

(although I won't, I'll leave to head back up for my own races that weekend)

Long story short, it turns out the front end of my R6 was bent for the past two months after a crash... I thought it was all in my head and have been beating myself up about it and not having fun up there. I let a couple other people take it for a spin at the track day and they were like holy shit this bike is fucked! lol. Was able to get it straightened out at the track Friday (thanks GMD) and get a couple short practice sessions on it.

Two races on saturday, wet track in the morning so no practice since I knew the races would be dry. My brakes/front end/cornerspeed confidence still aren't there but are slowly coming back. It's still in my head and I just need some more seat/practice time to get there. I know I can do it. Ran a lot of low 23's... pretty sad. I know I can get the teens but trying to force it seems to make things worse.

Saturday
Fun little battle with Lorenzo in both of these races. Still fun racing even though I'm not back up to pace.
Race 1 GTO: 3rd place
Race 4 MWSB: 9th place

Sunday I raced the new motard and did well... there are two distinct packs in the amateur ranks and I'm right in the middle; towards the end of both my races I was literally by myself. With a little more practice I know I can hang with the front guys, I just need to be better on the brakes and add a little cornerspeed in the right handers.

I did get into the 24s on the tard and had a couple fun battles in the first several laps of both races but in the end couldn't quite hang. In LWSM I got a great start and the holeshot into T1... held off the red bull rookie Alexander for an entire lap, my new claim to fame LOL, and he got me into T1.

Sunday
Race 2 motard: 6th / 12
Race 5 LWSM: 6th / 13

Also that 15 y.o. red bull rookie kid on the kawi running 19s and 20s knocked all of us AMs finishing spots down a notch for this weekend. Jesus he is fast

I guess he technically isn't old enough to have an expert license or something like that a13x told me...

The fact that I am only 1.5 seconds off my R6 pace on the tard certainly speaks volumes about my lack of confidence and comfort on the big bike. I really want to fix that but it seems the harder I try, the worse it gets. I'll get back there, I just need to relax and have fun.

Understand the lack of confidence on the big bike completely. I barely wanted to ride it after my incident at barber. Good news as long as you keep it upright, it eventually goes away.

I'm still there after my lowside last fall. I'm not nearly as fast as I used to be...and I was never that fast to begin with.
