I4, I've only tried Vtwins and the triumph triple so there isnt much experience there,, but by far the I4 has the smoothest powerband and least vibrations

In general I4 for me please, but of course my preference could vary based upon what type of riding I was going to do.

Love V-twins, but I3's and V4's intrigue me... I would love to check one out...

I voted V2, but it's the only engine I've ever had experience with.

I love the smooth ride of a I4. Never owned any Vtwins though. The parallel twin was just silly.

Yeh I rocked a ninja 500 for a while, great bike, but it had a powerband that would spike a few times. Riding it, you could feel the engine surge around 5k then again around 9k

I can't just pick one.
I love the tractability and sound of a Vtwin, but I love the absolutely brutal power of a 1340cc I4.

Rode an SV650 for over 50K miles, so you would think I prefer v-twins, but no, I prefer more cylinders now. I don't like how twins feel like they're going to stall or break a connecting rod at low-rpm's, and I also don't like how they shake the entire frame at high rpm's, like my Aprilia did. So personally, it's I-4 all the way for me. I'd really like to try a V4 or the new crossplane R1, though.
