Mladin is 37.
Duhamel is 41.
Crevier is 45.

No reason why he can't continue for another couple of years.

But why? What does he have left to prove? Auto racing presents him with a new set of challenges.

Rossi has said recently that the car thing is out for a while. He is still focused on two wheels, and I think he would love to retire on an Italian bike. That is a big part of the draw to ride the Duc

He's been dragging that rumor out for the last 6 years. Would you trade worldwide fame and $30m a year to be a contender in DTM? There's no way he would get an F1 ride - he's fast but he hasn't proven he's one of the top 20 fastest drivers in the world.

123 wins.

He'd need AT LEAST 2 more seasons and realistically more like 4 to reach that number.

If he decides he doesn't care about that number, he has nothing left to prove.

Nothing to prove, but he can put his accomplishments so far out of reach, it will long after he has died that they will be broken(if ever).

Very true. But realistically will anyone touch his stats even at this point?

That is what they probably thought about Ago 40 years ago.
