Expedition also needs a look at the rear trailing arms. They rot out.

Ask me how I know

Probably gonna need to cut the bolt out on the driver's side too, get a new bolt, and reinsert from the other side (hits the frame otherwise) in order to even replace them.

I am a die hard Ford guy, but if you are set on a SUV for towing a decent size boat, go Yukon. I'm just not a fan overall of the Ford SUV's. Now F-150 vs Silverado, Ford all the way.

I have a 90' Suburban 2500 4x4 that I will never part with. That truck is a fucking gorilla. I haven't found anything it doesn't tow comfortably and it's a piece of cake to work on. Me and Tommymac set a world record for an alternator change last year at the rally at a total cost of about $60...
