slipper works great on the buell, but can get a touch of chatter from 2 to 1.

I have done it on the SV before, mostly fucking around though, but a couple times accidently.

I always seemed to lock up the rear when I down shift when at a stop light... never bugged me... never really thought about it...

That's how I initiate a slide on the SMC. Do it all the time.

With a little practice you can actually chatter it all the way off the track at 150. I can work with you on it if you'd like.

You really should practice locking the rear brake too. I panic stopped for a University bus that suddenly pulled over and THEN hit its lights last week. My rear brake locked the tire and sent me into a severe fish tail that I ultimately had to release all brake pressure and overun into the oncoming lane.

It's getting better very slowly. I've got months of therapy still ahead. I had a goal of being able to ride out to the EOSB but I don't think I'll be able to work the throttle and brake by then.

Use the front brake instead. Pull until the rear becomes light.

Ive always tried to avoid locking the rear or shifting to fast causing hop or chatter. I use the front break to square off a corner.
