Cool thanks. We'd take nothing less than the Hemi. We've driven some other SRT8's but not the Challenger. IF we bought one it probably wouldn't be the SRT8 unless we found a heck of a deal but not likely.

We also drove the SRT10 Viper on a roadcourse and an autocross track...now that was fun but we're not in the market for one of them. I actually like the Z06 better overall but I still do like the Viper.

I'd still rather have a 'Vette if I were to go with a Chevy muscle car

Truth.
I don't think I'd even complain too much about the interior.

As for the Challenger SRT8... hell yeah, I'd like to drive one too.
And I will... just as soon as I find someone to buy it for me and front me gas money to feed that hungry super-Hemi for the first year or so.

Don't like the ground effects, but the Camaro is tight.

I also like the Challenger. I like the feeling of sitting low in the car like the old F-bodies.

$45K I think is MSRP on the SRT8 with a 6 spd.

I've heard rumor that there could be a Challenger SRT10 for 2010.

I got to drive the SRT10 Ram once, our Chrysler rep had one. Stupid fast if/when you got it to hook up, but for a dd, you would have a massive left leg. That clutch is STIFF!

No doubt, rated at 14 and 20 with the 6.1L My pickup does that!

But test drives are still kinda fun.

That's fucking ridiculous, especially since you can get a mildly used Corvette for under that price. Unless that's their plan to move some of the Corvettes taking up space on their lots.

I wouldn't really consider an SRT8 either. While the extra power would be nice you do not get the lifetime powertrain warranty on SRT vehicles. Basically everything in the powertrain outside of the clutch would be covered for as long as you own the vehicle for the R/T.
