I adore snakes - as does one of my daughters. We'd have one, except Evan and Jordan are fervently against it

Small, fast critters like salamanders and geckos - I have no problem with them. Except for a seemingly allergic reaction my hand has when I pick them up that causes me to instantly let go of them
