My cats and snakes earn their keep by keeping people away. Some ar eput off by rodents in the freezer. karens SIL doesnt like that my cats walk on the counters and he do nothing brother is extremeley allergic to them so when his soon to be ex wife throws him out again he cant come here to stay

Now if I can score a maneater type snake and not let the county know that will keep more people away.

As far as colubrids (corns kings milks ) I dont hink you can go wrong. Rogue disagrees but i realy like corn snakes and and are great starter snakes. very hearty, good prices and a lot of variations and they have good tempraments.

Thats awesome. Im pretty much the same with any "babies" I have. They live there, everyone else can deal. (Within reason)

I really like the corns, every one I have handled and worked with has been great and they do seem to have great temperaments. I cant do live feeds, I am a sucker for the mice, so a nice gentle corn would work great.

I like the more aggressive types too, but I am also a very cool person (to the touch), and while I have no problems handling them and letting them do their thing, my guy is one of those heat radiators that looks like "lunch" and he'd be none too pleased if our own snake kept trying to bite him.

The reactions I find are fascinating...I had a bf once that every time he walked by his roomies snake enclosure it would come unglued trying to get to him. He HATED it when I played with it, Id let it curl up on me and the moment he got too close, well, it woke up!

Not my fucking bedroom.

No way I'm waking up to find out I have new snake-skin sleeping bag with teeth.

I didn't say that colurbrids don't make good starter snakes or even excellent pets. They make a better starter snake than the finicky ball python that everyone loves, including me. I'm just not a colubrid person like some people (like me) aren't cat people.

Just like with dogs, different people like different breeds.

I really love pythons. Unfortunately the ones I REALLY like are over a grand.

Your love of snakes explains your career choice.
