Shame about the Aprilia. I've found several now with very low miles at very low prices. I suppose it has developed a reputation...
The G650X may be more appropriate than the Yamaha for the type of riding I'll be doing; probably better on the road and capable of more in the dirt than I am. Costs a lot more, though. I'll take whichever of two I can find for the best [relative] price. |

Prices on WR's are skyrocketing and G650X's are nowhere to be found. Seriously kicking myself for not buying one of those $3000-$3200 WR's I found over the fall and winter...
This might not be a bad investment: Kawasaki KLR 650* 2009 - $3200 (ooltewah) Says he's firm on his price, but for $3K this would make a decent fixer-upper. It'd leave me some money for upgrades and maybe I could strip off some of the bad plastic in favor of a conventional headlight arrangement. |
