I wouldn't discount BMW if I were you, but the suggestions above are pretty spot on, except for Troy. Ignore him. If you want to tour, you're not going to do it on a naked cruiser.
More people should use the busa for its original purpose...Sport touring.

You laugh....I rode my busa from NC to mexico and LOVED it. In fact, I'd say I liked the experience more than on either of the BMW's. Granted the RT was more ergo friendly, but when SPORT touring, the busa can be kept in 4th gear and go 20 or 140

a 6th gear! I've ridden several and it always seemed my sweet spot (78-85) seemed to find the BUZZ in both the grips and seat. Wasn't a happy camper.
