Default I'm in LOVE!

with a 9mm!

I was at the range today practicing for an IDPA shoot and was talking to this guy who just bought a new Walter PPS 9mm. We were talking for a while and he says: "Check this out" and pulls the PPS out of his cargo shorts pocket. I'm standing right next to this guy and I had NO IDEA he had it in his pocket. It was in a soft neoprene holster. The thing is a 6-1 9mm that is less than an inch thick! I was standing there talking to him and he says "try it out"

How could I resist?

It's tiny, almost smaller than the palm of my hand, but it's got just the right amount of heft, it feels great in your hand. It's a 3.2inch barrel, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of accuracy but in the 7 yard and 15 yard range I was putting rounds on target in groups almost as good as my S&W SV9. It might be the perfect carry self-defense weapon.

So now I have to go out and get one, they are easily concealable, shoot great, and it's a Walter. I really can't describe how "right" this thing felt. I have way too many expensive hobbies.

That's pretty ironic. My boss and I were looking at concealable guns today and this is one that he is thinking about buying. I have an SW9VE and I love it. It also helps that I bought it new for $280 with 4, 16 round clips.

I'm going to get my CCW this year as I have been putting it off for some time now. It's not that I want to carry concealed, as much as I like being able to have it in my glovebox or on my person on the bike and not worry about a ticket.

It's funny because I literally just finished cleaning that exact gun. It's my home defense/plinker gun. You got a great deal on yours, they're going for $350-$400 new here.

Yeah, I bought mine back when they were running a special on them with a $50 rebate and two extra clips. I couldn't pass it up. It only cost me $330 then for the pistol with case and extra clip and about 6 weeks later they mailed me a check for $50 and two more clips. I love mine, and it's pretty fucking accurate too. Only thing I don't like about it is that the trigger is a little heavy but I plan on having a local dude work it a little for me. It should be golden after that.

Yeah, the trigger pull is heavy, but I'm used to it by now. I put about 300rds through mine today. I like the fact that I can tell exactly how much pull it takes to fire, I can pull the trigger right to the break point. My buddy has a XD45 and the trigger pull is long, but light, and I can't get used to it.

Hell, I haven't run maybe 4-5 rounds through mine yet! I love to shoot, but I simply don't like shooting pistols that much.

I've got a 22mag with Simmons scope that will damn near drive nails. I'm more into that sort of thing than the handheld end.

I carry a Para Warthog which is a 1911 with a 10 plus one capacity and 3" barrel. I have a Mr. Softee holster for it that works great.
