"Ignore"?

A recent thread has brought to my attention that people here believe that placing people that you hate or don't get along with on "ignore" is a bad thing.

1. Do you have anyone on ignore?

2. Do you think that it is a bad thing?

3. Why is it a bad thing?

I ignore myself so its all good.

It would be just like in the real world not listening to someone you dont like. Ignore away my friend.

nope, ive tried the feature and found it annoying to still see the bar which announces a post with no content

true. You always hope that for once they contributed something worthwhile, but it is always a let down. And everyone quotes on here.

1. No, I actually didnt know it was a feature....

2. No, if you dont like someone, fuck em. I ignore people in real life. I just think it would be hard in a forum to remove context of a conversation. Especially if you have alot of people blocked. Besides, i try to take into account that by engaging in an online forum, by default almost everybody is going to be a giant douche at one time or another. (Or all of the time) I just try not to get my tighty whities in a bunch over it, and just laugh at people.

I did that on CF for one annoying fucker who posted in every thread and I was completely lost as to what people were talking about.

I don't have anyone at the moment... but I have time to time... just cause I'm tired of reading the same ignorant posts... it's like that dumbass friend that does stupid shit just to get attention... stop paying attention to him and eventually he'll drink him self to death.

but I've found a better fix is the hide subforms feature. I've got several sub forums on the list, can't remember which ones at the moment... but notice a drastic decline in the amount of ignorant shit to sift through... (I said decline... not elimination... that'd require a ban

)

fuck I could care less who ignores who... hell ignore me... just don't make a big deal about who you ignore (not saying you were tig)
