If you need a tax write off, donate the bike and take the full retail value as a tax deduction.

I know you mean well but stop with the tax advice.

You are way, WAY off.

Think again. As long as he isn't claiming more than "fair market value", the motorcycle isn't in need of any repairs and, the charitable amount does not exceed 50% of his adjusted income, then he can deduct the motorcycle value from his taxes. Sounds like you may need a new tax accountant, because you are being fed wrong information.

I'm not going lower, that's it. This is a steal and anyone who knows bikes and knows my story will know it.

Very fair price, ShanMan.

I have a '99 also, it is a great bike.

Have you tried the SV board(s)?

If you get desperate, shoot me a PM.

DO NOT follow Rider's advice.

It is wrong, whether he believes it or not.
